Prepare for your first sessionGeneral educational material to support reflection and planning. These resources do not provide a diagnosis or replace individual counseling.
You can begin without a perfectly prepared story.
Think about what prompted you to seek support and what you hope might become easier. Write down questions about the approach, privacy, fees and session format. You can say that you are unsure where to begin, and you can ask to pause or clarify anything during the conversation.
Turn a large task into a clear next action.
List your deadlines, choose one priority and break it into smaller tasks. Set a realistic study block with a planned break. At the end, note what you completed and choose your next action. Adjust the plan to your energy and other commitments instead of treating it as a test of your worth.
Notice how your week has felt and what support you might want.
